Regis P. Sedlock Sr.'s Obituary
Regis P. Sedlock Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on January 18, 2026, in Mantua, Ohio, at the age of 87. Born on May 20, 1938, in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, Regis was the son of the late Stephen P. and Mary (Simo) Sedlock.
After graduating from Barnesboro High School in 1956, Regis honorably served his country in the Air Force, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and commitment. Upon completing his service, he embarked on a successful career as a tool & die maker, eventually retiring from General Electric. His work was not just a job but a testament to his meticulous nature and his ability to solve complex problems with grace and precision.
Regis married the love of his life, Kathleen A. Sedlock (nee Swory), in 1963, and together they raised a beautiful family, including their children Regis P. Sedlock Jr., Theresa A. Fowler (David), Karen E. Sedlock, and Sharon M. Guillot (David). He was a proud grandfather to Adam D. Wahl (Megan), Olivia L. Risko (Adam), and Ashleigh A. Fowler and great-grandfather to Piper G. Wahl. He was also the dear brother of Monica E. Wadium, Rev. Stephen J. Sedlock, C.S.C., and Ramona M. Murphy.
A man of many talents, Regis was known for his love of fishing, leatherwork, and his exceptional ability to create with his hands. He was not only a musician who enjoyed playing the banjo and guitar but also a lifelong learner who took college courses to further his knowledge and skills. Regis was affectionately known as the "neighborhood handyman," always ready to lend a hand or craft a needed part with a smile. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was truly everyone's friend.
Visitation will be held on March 21st, at St. Ann Church, located at 2175 Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, 44118 at 9:30 A.M. A funeral mass will follow immediately at 10:30 A.M.
Please join the family for a Celebration of Life luncheon after mass in Walsh Hall, located in the basement of St. Ann Church.
The family will have a private interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
