Richard Kleve's Obituary
MIDDLEFIELD Richard P. Kleve, 89 years of age of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away Friday February 6, 2015 at Burton Health Care. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 23, 1925, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Clara (Skomrock) Kleve. A resident of Middlefield since 2002, Richard was formerly of Euclid, Ohio where he had been a member of Shore Haven Lutheran Church. Richard had been employed as a service technician at Sears & Roebuck Company retiring after 40 years of service. During World War II, Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. A member of Burton American Legion Post No. 459, he also was a faithful member for over 30 year of AA. For those family and friends who were privileged to know Richard, his giving manner and sense of humor will forever be cherished in their memories. An avid golfer would be an understatement of Richard, as golfing and his knowledge and ability to repair golf clubs were second to none. In 1952, he married his beloved wife Lois M. Kleve, whose passing took place on July 7, 2002. Also preceding him in death were his cousins Kenneth Kleve and Herb Kleve, and his cherished 4-legged purring child "Buddy". Survivors include his cousins Donald (Billie) Kleve of Chardon, Barbara Kleve of Burton, Kathy (Mike) Carroscia of Newbury, Marion Parker of Michigan, Larry (Thelma) Kleve of Canton, Ohio, Herb's wife Daphne Kleve and other loving family members. Funeral services for Richard will be held Wednesday February 11, 2015, 12:00 Noon at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St. Rt. 44 at the corner of 4668 Pioneer Trail(S. of Rt. 422) Mantua, where visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time. Final resting place will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, where full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard Team, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193.
