Robert L. Bard's Obituary
MANTUARobert L. Bard, 63 years of age, passed away Saturday July 14, 2012 unexpectedly at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on February 25, 1949 in Marion, Ohio, he was the son of Harry and Christine (Drum) Bard. A resident of the Mantua area over 25 years, Mr. Bard was a very active member of the Crestwood Lions Club, where he had served as President among his numerous roles. He presently was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Berry Plastics in Streetsboro, having been a loyal employee for over 25 years. Mr. Bard enjoyed going to flea markets and antiquing with his wife, while his family will forever remember him as a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather to his five grandchildren who were the world to him. On July 3, 1971, he married Carolyn (Gerber) Bard who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Terry Bard of Big Prairie, Ohio, James (Leslie) Bard of Garrettsville and Tammy Sabatino of Mantua; his mother Christine Bard of Morrall, Ohio; siblings Larry (Linda) Bard, Howard (Cathy) Bard, John Bard all of Morral, Ohio, Rick (Norene) Bard of Bucyrus, Ohio and Charlotte (Doug) Bard of Delaware, Ohio and his grandchildren Travis, Isabelle, Wyatt, Kayla and Jade. He was preceded in death by his father Harry Bard. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, with Crestwood Lions Club service at 5:30 P.M. Tuesday. His funeral service will be Wednesday July 18, 2012 at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Drew Carroll officiating. Final resting place will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio.
