Robert Davidson's Obituary
SHALERSVILLE-STREETSBORO Robert L. Davidson, 79 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Sunday January 2, 2011 at his residence in Shalersville Township with his loving family at his side. Bob was God's Gift to Us on February 8, 1931 in Jefferson, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Lloyd H. and Zella (Grimm) Davidson. An area resident since 1961, he retired from the Ford Motor Company Walton Hills Division as an oiler after 36A? years of faithful service. Bob was well known for his dedication to numerous Masonic affiliations that included being Past Master of Mantua Lodge No. 533 F. & A.M., Past High Priest of Silver Creek Chapter No.144 of Garrettsville, Past Illustrious Master of Warren Council No.58 of Warren, Past Commander of Allenby Commandery No. 73 of Twinsburg, Member of Knights of the York Cross of Honour-Ohio Priory No. 18 and Past Patron of Crescent Chapter No. 7 O.E.S. of Garrettsville. Bob was an active member also of the Aurora United Methodist Church. On June 30, 1951, he married Ada J. (Albaugh) Davidson who survives him at home. Also surviving are his daughters Deborah Williams of Streetsboro, Robin (Terry) Lester and Tammy (Kenny) Meek both of Kent; his brother Raymond (Audrey) Davidson of Ambridge, Pennsylvania; his sister Lucille Policz of Jefferson, Pennsylvania and grandchildren Brian Strayer, Scott Williams, Lisa (Jozsef) Jakab and Nicole (Michael) Stephan. He was preceded in death by one sister. Calling hours will be Wednesday (TODAY) from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where Masonic services will begin at 5:45 P.M. Funeral services will be Thursday January 6, 2011 12:00 Noon at the Aurora United Methodist Church, 241 Aurora Rd., with visitation also from 11:00 A.M. until service time. Pastor Jared Priset will officiate. Cremation will follow.
