Robert D. Fejes' Obituary
MANTUA Robert D. Fejes, 75 years of age, passed away Thursday January 8, 2015 at his residence. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Peter D. and Irene (Varga) Fejes. Formerly a resident of Aurora for 31 years, Bob had lived in Mantua the past 21 years. Bob had been the owner-operator of Appropo Draperies in Aurora and Mantua working side by side with his wife Kathy in their family business. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran. A longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua, he remained very active in many of the church functions. Bob was a gentleman who had a passion for learning either with his joy for reading, or traveling with Kathy between 35-40 places worldwide. An avid aviation buff, following retirement he was a regular visitor to MAPS in Akron. Additionally, he loved history and the pleasure of dining in many restaurants. His family will forever remember him for the special times spent with his children and grandchildren, passing on his quest for knowledge and traveling. On January 12, 1962, he married Kathy (Raleigh) Fejes who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Michael (Amy) Fejes of Kent, Daniel (Brigid) Fejes of Mantua and Laurie (Tony) Frank of Cuyahoga Falls, his brother Kenneth (Diane) Fejes of Twinsburg and his loving grandchildren Sean, Brendan and Christopher. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday January 13, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11045 St. Joseph Blvd., Mantua, Ohio 44255 with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Hospice of the Western Reserve or a charity of the donor's choice.
