Robert W. Lacey's Obituary
Aurora -Robert W. Lacey, 93 years of age of Aurora, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Aurora. Mr. Lacey was born on November 12, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois the son of the late John C. and Anna (Schoenfeld) Lacey. Formerly of Lakewood, Ohio he was a resident of Aurora the past 4 years. Mr. Lacey was employed as a credit manager for Sherwin-Williams Company in Chicago from 1938, moving to Cleveland in 1972 and retiring in 1978. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Lacey was a very active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lakewood, enjoyed golfing and was an avid baseball fan. On September 18, 1948 he married Elaine (Frazier) Lacey who survives him in Aurora. Also surviving are his sons, Richard J. Lacey of Hawaii and Robert B. (Joan) Lacey of Aurora; his twin sister, Louise "Dolly" Andre of California and 2 grandchildren, Robby and Colleen Lacey. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert and Henry Lacey and his sisters, Constance and Thelma Lacey. Visitation will be Wednesday April 29, 2009 from 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where Mr. William Chaykowski will officiate at the funeral service at 7:30 P.M. Military honors will be presented at the conclusion of the services. Final resting place for Mr.Lacey will be at St. Peter's Episcopal Church Columbarium.
