Robert G. Lange's Obituary
FREEDOM TWP.-MANTUA Robert G. "Bob" Lange, 72 years of age, passed away Monday October 20, 2014 in Akron, Ohio. Bob was born on August 29, 1942 in Freedom Township, the son of the late Robert A. and Rose (Pinter) Lange. Bob was raised along with his brother and sisters on his families Freedom Township farm. He was a farmer at heart and loved the land. Bob was a construction worker and retired from Akron Laborers Local 894 in 2005. Bob loved tractors, trucks, and sports cars, and will be remembered for cruising in his 2001 Jaguar S Type. He enjoyed music and loved dancing. Bob was a wonderful and devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather who loved his family very much. He was always concerned with the welfare of his friends and always kept in close contact with them. Bob's family could always count on him to handle any little details in life that they may have overlooked. Bob proudly served in the National Guard. Bob will always be remembered by family and friends as a modest man, with a contagious smile and friendly greeting for everyone. On August 5, 1967, Bob married his loving wife Beverly (Peters) Lange who survives at their home. Also surviving are his devoted sons Frederick (Katie) Lange and Robert A. (Mary) Lange II both of Mantua, and his loving grandchildren Everett and Eloise Lange. Additional survivors include his sisters Elaine (Charles) Duffield of Freedom Township, Louise Styron of Ravenna, Carolyn (Edward) Unaitis of Medina, Barbara (Barry) Crawford of Marshallville, Ohio and brother Frederick R. (Betty) Lange of Freedom Township, brother-in-laws Larry (Phyllis) Peters of Shalersville and Robert J. Peters of Mantua. Calling hours will be Friday from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral service will be held Saturday October 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Final resting place will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village, Ohio.
