Robert E. Miller's Obituary
Robert E. Miller, age 95, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and spent most of his working life in construction. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting, fishing, and golfing, and cherished the time spent afield with his longtime hunting friends Enos and Ben Byler. He also treasured the friendship of Matt Miller. In his youth, Robert was a dedicated athlete who loved playing baseball and football.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Patricia A. Miller; his children, Sandra L. Tegowski, Desirae A. Metcalfe (Daniel L. Metcalfe), and Robert "Bob" Miller; his grandchildren, Bonnie McKean, Barbara Kuklisin, Bradford Szabo, Joshua Szabo, Jason Miller, and Angela Cottrill; and five great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
A graveside service will be held on August 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hillside Cemetery, St. Rt. 303 (near Rt. 44), Shalersville, Ohio 44255. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 PM at the Parkman Community Center.
