Ronald K. Fisher's Obituary
RAVENNA Ronald K. Fisher, age 75, died Sunday January 3, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 3, 1940 in Ravenna, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Winifred (Blake) Fisher. On November 2, 1962 Ron married Joanne Simon from Mantua. They enjoyed 53 years together. In 1965 Ron and Joanne decided to build a home and raise their family in a small rural community, selecting the Shalersville area. Ron proudly served on the Shalersville Zoning Board of Appeals for a number of years. Ron was owner of Fisher Siding Company from 1963 till declining health took over. A small local business resulting with many lifetime customers and friendships. Ron enjoyed Auto Racing, especially Sprint Cars, all Music, especially Bluegrass and with pride maintained his home, yard and vehicles. Special lifetime school buddies, Kenneth (Marge) Drugan, Don (Anna) Rankin, Dave (Dawn) Harper. Surviving at home his wife, Joanne, family: Connie (Mark) Fellenstein of Auburn, Rosemarie Fisher of Winterville, N.C., Ron (Julie) Fisher, Jr. of Hinckley and Shelly (Brian) Vaughan of Westerville. Ten (10) grandchildren and seven (7) great-grandchildren, Brother David Fisher of Ravenna and cousin Marilyn Wilson of Arizona also survive. Visitation will be Saturday January 9, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 170 North Freedom Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. with services to follow at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Daniel J. Caruso, Jr. officiating. A time of fellowship and meal will immediately follow at the church. The family requests that everyone please dress casual. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
