Roy N. Huffman, Sr's Obituary
AURORA Roy N. Huffman, Sr., 65 years of age, passed away Monday February 14, 2011 at his residence. Born on October 1, 1945 in Richwood, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Arthur and Theta (McClung) Huffman. Formerly of Bedford Hts., Mr. Huffman had been a resident of the Aurora area since 1973.Mr. Huffman had been employed as a baker of several years, following which he was the owner-operator of Huffman Excavating in Aurora for 20 years. He was a member of the NRA and the Geauga Truck Pullers. He enjoyed participating in truck pulls, hunting, fishing and had raised horses. On September 4, 1964, he married Velma E. (Dever) Huffman who survives at their home. Also surviving are his sons Roy (Lisa A.) Huffman of Mantua, Raymond (Lisa M.) Huffman of Parma, Ohio, Randy (Wendi) Huffman of Bailey, Colorado and Rodney (Dawn) Huffman of Weaverville, North Carolina; daughters Tina (Thaddeus ) Bosman of Hudson, Ohio, Lorie Wright of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Crystal (Thomas) Chevrier of Mantua and Taryn Huffman of Ravenna; brothers Arthur and Kelsie (Sherry) Huffman both of Malvern, Ohio; sisters Maxine (Kelsie) Strader of Crawley, West Virginia, Helen Laskey of Garfield Hts., Ohio, Thelma (Tom) Stevens of Salinesville, Ohio, Thelda (John) Dayton and Theta (Richard) Mathie both of Carrollton, Ohio and his grandchildren Ryan, Evan, Ashley, Rebecca, Alexander, Hannah, Gracie, Nathan, Sydney and Abbigail. He was preceded in death by his brothers Calvin and Curby Huffman and sisters Volena Boyce and Eleanor Strader. Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral services will be Friday February 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. His final resting place will be at Scroggs Field Cemetery in Carrollton, Ohio Friday at 2:00 P.M.
