Ruby Beatty's Obituary
AURORARuby (Jakosh) Beatty, 90 years of age, passed away Monday July 23, 2012 at Anna Maria of Aurora. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Hay) Thomson. Formerly of Solon, she had been a resident of the Aurora and Mantua areas the past 8 years. Ruby and her late husband Charles Jakosh owned and operated the College Inn in Cleveland for over 35 years. While a resident of Solon, she was employed at the Solon Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, and found great pleasure in crocheting and knitting and teaching her grandchildren the same skills. Survivors include her children Charles (Claire) Jakosh of Solon, James (Stephaine) Jakosh, Sr., of Aurora, Scott (Patti) Jakosh of Mantua and Barbara Scott of Cleveland, as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Jakosh in 1993 and her grandson James Jakosh, Jr. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday July 30, 2012 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Solon at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
