Ruby Pearl Gardner, 95 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Gardner was God’s Gift to Us on December 3, 1925 at Morgantown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late William and Madge (Summers) Arbagast. She had been a resident of Brunswick, Ohio from 1968, where she had been employed as an LPN, moving to Deerfield, then to the Mantua area in 2015. While residing in West Virginia, she and her sisters sang on the radio for many years. Ruby loved playing Bingo, square dancing, and attending events at the Kevin Coleman Adult Center. On December 31, 1948, Ruby married Lonnie Gardner who preceded her in death in 1984. Also preceding her were 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Surviving are her sons Richard (Pam) Gardner of Mantua, Roger Gardner of Lakewood; grandchildren Michelle, Scott, Eric, Jacob, Pearl and Tracy; and 13 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday November 29, 2021 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., where her funeral service will then begin at 6:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Atkins of His Ministry Church in Aurora. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, 10:30 A.M. at Westview Cemetery in Brunswick, Ohio where she will be laid to rest with her husband Lonnie.
