Ruth Hoskin's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLERuth R. Hoskin, 90 years of age, passed away Wednesday September 14, 2011. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Karel and Jossie (Jedlicka) Ranc.A homemaker, Mrs. Hoskin was a lifetime resident of the Garrettsville- Nelson areas, and was a 1939 graduate of Nelson High School. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, flower gardening and cooking, with Sunday dinners and Sunday evening family gatherings for dessert remaining a tradition that her family will always cherish. For many years, Mrs. Hoskin and her husband enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. On November 7, 1942 she married James F. Hoskin who preceded her in death on June 14,2003. Also preceding her was her grandson Terry Lytle in 1997 and her great-grandson Rance Hoskin in 2010, her brothers Frank and Charles Ranc and her sister Mae Kofron. She is survived by her devoted children Charles (Rella) Hoskin, Robert (Martha) Hoskin, Terry (Frances) Hoskin, Bryan Hoskin and Deborah (John) Davis all of Garrettsville, James (Karen) Hoskin of Florida and Patricia Burner of Windham, 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be Monday September 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. Mrs. Hoskin will be laid to rest at Windham Township Cemetery.
