MANTUA
Ruth M. Kubec, 93 years of age, passed away Monday July 27, 2020 at University Hospital, Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Louis H. and Anna K. (Smolenop) Stiene. Mrs. Kubec grew up in Cleveland and Maple Hts., and was a graduate of John Adams High School. She had been employed at Stouffers in Solon in the test kitchen from where she then retired from. For several years she resided in Andover, Ohio, and presently was living in Largo, Florida the past 15 years. She was an avid gardener, and was very talented with her painting and ceramic skills. Survivors include her sons James (Elva) Kubec of Mantua, and Richard (Christine) Kubec of Gowan, Michigan, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Kubec in 2008, and her sisters Virginia Stambaugh, Florence Poncar and Lillian Stiene. No calling hours or services. Final resting place will take place at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Seminole, Florida. In lieu of flowers,memorials are suggested to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
