Ruth R. Marstiller's Obituary
WINDHAM Ruth R. Marstiller, 83 years of age, passed away Thursday June 30, 2016 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Canton, Ohio on April 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Flitcraft) Schmidt. A lifetime resident of Windham, Ruth had been employed for over 25 years at Packard Electric from where she then retired. Ruth enjoyed the old time country music, making custom ceramic pieces and dancing. For those who knew her, the color "Purple", and making her family proud will forever be in their minds and hearts as cherished memories to all. On November 30, 1952, she married her beloved husband Glenn J. Marstiller who preceded her in death on November 9, 2014. Also preceding was her grandson Jon M. Blackshere. Survivors include her devoted children Glenn M. (Wendy Kalinoff) Marstiller of Garrettsville, Glenna Sue (Dale) Myer of Aurora, Glenda Lou Blackshere and Glennis Marie (Joe) Barnes both of Windham, her dear sister Lyvonne McLean of Windham, and 6 loving grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday July 5, 2016 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St .Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where her funeral service will be held Wednesday July 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Katherine Thomas of The Windham United Methodist Church. Ruth will then be laid to rest beside her beloved Glenn at Windham Township Cemetery.
