Ruth "Geneva" Osborne's Obituary
Ruth "Geneva" Osborne, born January 25, 1945 in Raven, Virginia, arrived as child number twelve out of thirteen-proof that she was destined to stand out in any crowd. She married the love of her life, Randall Osborne, on April 22, 1963, and together they built a life full of family, laughter, and the occasional shopping bag (or three).
Geneva tried on several careers-hairdresser, stay-at-home mom, BP Manager, and finally storage-facility manager-discovering along the way that her true calling was making everything and everyone around her look good. Whether it was a perfectly baked dish, a perfectly chosen outfit, or a perfectly timed opinion, Geneva delivered with style.
Famous for her cooking, legendary for her shopping, lover of a fine margarita and reliably fabulous at all times, Geneva leaves a legacy of love wrapped in equal parts glamour and grit.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Randall; her children Tim Osborne and Melissa Osborne (Brian Hanzlik); grandchildren Rebecca Osborne (Jamal Parks) and Mallory Hanzlik; and great-grandchild River Parks-all of whom will miss her sparkle, her sass, and charm.
All services will be held privately.
