Sandra A. Haines' Obituary
MANTUA-SHALERSVILLESandra A. Haines, 62 years of age, a lifetime resident of the Mantua-Shalersville area, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at her residence. Born on November 21, 1946 in Ravenna, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Balas) Kohler, Sr. A graduate of the Crestwood School System in 1964, she was employed in the shipping department of Samuel Moore & Company for 27 years. For several years she was a volunteer at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Sandy enjoyed line dancing and was a animal lover, especially of cats and dogs. On September 11, 1973 she married Ronald E. Haines who survives at their home. Also surviving are her sisters Linda (Larry) Marek of Mantua, Joyce (Leonard) Brehm of Florida, brothers Frank Kohler, Jr. of Florida and Dan (Kathy) Harper of Kentucky, brothers-in-law Bob (Rebecca) Haines of Kent and Rick (Vicki) Haines of North Canton, sisters-in-law Patti (Donald) Spears of Akron and Linda (Bob) Thorne of Florida. 4 grandchildren and her step-daughters Wendi (Ron) Porter of Mantua and Jill (Tom) Cassette of Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive. No calling hours. A private graveside funeral service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township with Rev. Carolyn Berry officiating.
