Sara "Sally" Stone's Obituary
MENTORSara Jane "Sally" Stone, 85 years of age, passed away Wednesday August 10, 2011 at her residence, Salida Woods Assisted Living in Mentor, Ohio. Born on May 3, 1926 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Peter M. and Hulda V. (Vasbinder) Coyle. Mrs. Stone was a resident of Eastlake from 1970 until moving to Mentor in 2003. Mrs. Stone was employed as an operator to management at Ohio Bell Telephone in Cleveland, retiring after nearly 30 years of service. A home health aide at Breckenridge Village in Willoughby, Sally was a longtime avid volunteer at both Breckenridge Village and Lake West-Hospital taking great pride in assisting all with whom she came in contact with. Survivors include her daughters Paula (James) Palaima of Chardon and JoAnn Rawley of Shaker Hts., nephew Wayne (Joyce) Techet of Nevada, 6 grandchildren George (Laura) Palaima, Jeffrey (Cindy) Palaima, Tony Rawley, Christina (Ronald) Goertler, Timothy (Reut) Rawley and Beth (John) Keenan and 6 great-grandchildren Alicia, Miala, Mason, Marissa, Gavin and Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her sister Vivian Techet and nieces Patricia Mancuso and Kathleen Techet. No calling hours. A private family service will be held at a later date. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her caring staff and extended family at Salida Woods Assisted Living, Mentor CDC and to Senior Independence. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
