Sarah Jean Seith's Obituary
MANTUA Sarah Jean Seith, 87 years of age, passed away Thursday June 16, 2011 at University Hospitals, Geauga Regional Medical Center in Claridon Township. Born in Nacogdoches, Texas on May 4, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dollie (Muckleroy) Langford. A resident of the Mantua area since 1950, Mrs. Seith was a 5th. and 6th. Grade elementary school teacher in the Crestwood School System, retiring in 1988. As a young woman, she earned money for college by working in the potatoe fields showing her determination for a better education, following which she attended and graduated from Kent State University with a Bachler's Degree in Education.Mrs. Seith loved teaching instilling her beliefs in all with whom she came in contact with in her years of teaching. An avid reader, she enjoyed watching sports on television and her special times with her grandchildren. For many years she attended the Hilltop Christian Church. On September 9, 1945, she married Frank H. Seith, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1989. Also preceding her were Brothers Ira and David Goodrich and Sister Jane Mahan. Survivors include her sons Frank H. (Lynette) Seith. Jr. of Jefferson and Giles (Deborah) Seith of Mantua and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 21, 201 12:00 Noon at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time. She will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the High School Library in her name.
