We met Shirley when she taught kindergarten to our son, Steve, in1980. Throughout the years we came in contact Her husband jointed the American Legion Post 803 in Aurora and then Shirley joined the Auxiliary. She was the Chaplain for many years, She made a prayer book for the State Chaplain. She also helped distribute poppies and do services at various nursing homes for Memorial Day and Veterans Day. She laid the wreath at the Veterans Memorial for Memorial Day. Shirley helped the unit in many ways, paying for the membership of some family members. She will be greatly missed.
May God rest your soul. I will never forget the summers I spent with you, I always had a great time. You will always be in my heart love you.
You are the greatest mom ever. You supported me and lived me unconditionally no matter what the situation. Dad Jason gram gramps great grandma aunt Phyllis and aunt Shirley are all waiting for you. Mrs. Duval was one of the sweetest ladies I knew. Words can't describe how thankful I was to have her in my life. I will sure miss all the stories we shared with each other. Every memory with her will be cherished forever
