Shirley Klimas' Obituary
TROY TWP.- WICKLIFFE Shirley M. Klimas, 68 years of age, passed away Tuesday September 16, 2014 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mildred (Zakas ) Voynovich, Sr. Shirley was a graduate of Kenston High School and a former resident of Troy Township. A resident of Wickliffe the past 5 years, she had spent many years living in both Lake and Cuyahoga counties. A graduate of Euclid School of Practical Nursing, she had been employed at the Cleveland Clinic for 15 years and at University Hospital for 7 years. Shirley was an avid shopper and traveler, yet many of her most enjoyable times were spent watching her granddaughter play hockey. On September 29, 1984, she married Donald Klimas who survives at their home. Also surviving is her daughter Kaila Mortach of Kirtland, Ohio, her brother John (Beth) Voynovich, Jr. of Streetsboro and her grandchildren Mandy and Michael. She was preceded in death by her son John D. Moyer in 2000. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St.Rt. 44 at the corner of 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where her funeral service will be held Saturday September 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Delaney. Final resting place will follow at Shadyside Cemetery in Auburn Township.
