Shirley A. Schuster's Obituary
MANTUA Shirley Schuster, 73 years of age, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday December 16, 2014. Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1941, Shirley was the daughter of the late Theodore and Dorothy Prala. She attended Kent State University for both her undergraduate degree and MBA. Shirley was also a Certified Public Accountant. She worked in education for many years, first as Treasurer of the Crestwood School District in Mantua, then later as Treasurer of the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools, from which she retired in 2002. She enjoyed an active retirement, volunteering with several organizations including the Mantua-Shalersville Chamber of Commerce and the Federated Church of Chagrin Falls. She also took great joy in gardening and landscaping on her farm in Mantua. Shirley is survived by her daughter Laurie Schuster; her grandchildren Ava and Skye; her sister Diane Arcuri and her brother Thomas Prala. She was devoted to her daughter and grandchildren. She will be remembered by family and friends as a loving, spirited, funny, loyal and compassionate person. A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held Saturday January 24, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church, 76 Bell Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022 with The Reverend Hamilton Coe Throckmorton officiating. A time of fellowship immediately following will be held at the church for family and friends. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
