Sonny E. Elenniss, Sr's Obituary
STREETSBOROSonny E. Elenniss, Sr., 57 years of age, passed away Monday April 4, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Barberton, Ohio. Born on October 7, 1954 in Garfield Hts., he was the son of the late Theodore and Ruth (Boltz) Elenniss. Formerly of Aurora, he had been a Streetsboro resident the past 13 years. Sonny had been employed as a refrigeration technician at J.E. Carston in Akron. Sonny learned to appreciate and love wildlife and animals and pass on his feelings to his family and friends. Hot Rod's and Harley's were a passion of his, and he will always be remembered for his hand out to help others, not looking for a handout. On August 3, 1974, he married Nancy J. (Clark) Elenniss who survives at their home. Also surviving are his sons Benjamin and Sonny Elenniss, Jr. both of Hiram Rapids and Theodore Elenniss of Streetsboro, brothers Jerry of California and Ted (Barbara) Elenniss of England and his sister Harriett Elenniss of California and his grandson Nathan Turner. Funeral services will be Saturday April 9, 2011 12:00 Noon at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. Sonny will then be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
