Stanley Ellenberger's Obituary
Obituary
HIRAM
Stanley K. Ellenberger, 88 years of age, long time Hiram resident, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Born on November 5, 1933 at the family home in Hiram Township, he was the son of the late Kenneth W. and Alta M. (Rood) Ellenberger. Stanley had been employed as a mechanic at Martin Motors in Ravenna, and also served as an assistant Hiram fire chief, fire fighter and Hiram police officer. Keeping up the Ellenberger family tradition, he maintained a hard work ethic second to none all through his life. He thrived on his children’s accomplishments, and the times he and “ Midge” spent with them. Stanley enjoyed watching Fox TV, NASCAR racing, going out to eat and “tinkering” with anything mechanical, and held patriotism to his country as paramount. For those who knew Stanley, there will never be a doubt that he was a true Donald Trump supporter! Stanley is joining his wife of 59 years, Mildred “Midge” (Ackerman) Ellenberger, who preceded him in death in 2012. Also preceding were his brothers Ronald and Walley. Survivors include his son Dan (Terrie) Ellenberger of Hiram, his daughter Darlene (Kurt) Reim of Diamond, Ohio; brother Roger (Maryann) Ellenberger of Brookpark, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours to Celebrate his Life will be Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail, at the corner or St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio, 44255. A private burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Wounded Warriors or Tunnels to towers HTTPS://t2t.org.
