Susan A. Wood's Obituary
MANTUA Susan A. Wood, 58 years of age, passed away Friday October 23, 2015 in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 11, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Kathleen (Finucan) Glassner. Susan was a lifetime Mantua area resident and a 1975 graduate of Crestwood High School. Susan was employed as a waitress throughout her life where she found enjoyment taking care of her customers. Many times at the end of the day, she would share stories with her family about the relationships that developed with the customers and how she loved taking care of them, all of which was a part of her personality of caring for people. Susan was a kind and selfless lady whose family and friends will forever cherish her loving qualities. Susan created glass art which she sold at craft shows, and loved going to auctions and gambling, winning more often than not. When her children were young, Susan will be remembered as a mom who took them to numerous events, and as a wife who with her husband enjoyed the many concerts they attended. Memories that her children, family and friends have of her smile and kind hearted manner will always be cherished. On April 27, 1985, she married James L. Wood who preceded her in death on June 7, 2009. Survivors include her children Kelly Wood of Columbus, Ohio and Warrick Wilson of Mantua, brothers John (Alice) Glassner of Colorado, Bill (Joy) Glassner of Mantua and David (Suzie) Glassner of California, her lifelong friend Kathleen Bowser of Mantua and many other loving friends and family. Cremation has been held. Memorial visitation will be Saturday October 31, 2015 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
