Terry Thomason's Obituary
Terry L. Thomason, 62 years of age, passed away Monday April 2, 2012 in Statesville, North Carolina following injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Terry was born on September 6, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Walter and Margaret (Brobst) Thomason. A lifetime Mantua area resident, he was a 1968 graduate of Crestwood Schools. Terry had been employed at General Motors Lordstown and an inspector and reliefman, beginning his employment in 1968 and retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Hilltop Christian Church in Mantua. Terry was an avid golfer, enjoyed biking, baseball, motorcycles, fishing with friends and his grandchildren, going camping with his wife and restoring his two 1985 Chevy trucks. On May 13, 1986, he married Donna M. (Kolesar) Thomason who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Daniel (Tracy Jones) Behnke of Mantua, Mark Alan (Rocquel Bergeron) Thomason of Lakewood, Diane (Jeff ) Ruehr of Shalersville, Karen (Jim) Vaughn of Canton, Georgia, Nicky Liston of Macedonia, Sarah (Jacob) Roborecki of Garrettsville and Kelly (Jay) Priebe of Lake Milton, his siblings Robert Thomason of Cuyahoga Falls, Patricia (Terry) Hart of Kent, Rene (James) White of Ravenna, 19 grandchildren and his two loving 4-legged children Annie and Gracie. He was preceded in death by his son Brian Lee Thomason and one sister Susie Bailey. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua where his funeral services will be held Saturday April 7, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Jeff Jackson officiating. Terry will be laid to rest at a family interment following cremation at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township, Ohio.
