Thomas J. Holton's Obituary
MANTUAThomas J. Holton, 82 years of age, passed away Thursday July 8, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Holton was born on October 15, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Thomas F. and Kathryn (Welch) Holton. A resident of the Mantua area since 1967, he was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. Mr. Holton was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A chemical engineer, he owned his consulting business for many years. Mr. Holton was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and had a love for all of his animals. Survivors include his daughter Kathryn (James) Lamb of Bedford, his brother Edward Holton of Naples, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Holton on September 3, 1995 and his brothers Jack and William Holton and Sister Eleanor Holton. Calling hours will be Monday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday July 13, 2010 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Portage County APL or the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Robinson Memorial Hospital. .
