Thomas J. Humphrey, Sr's Obituary
STREETSBORO Thomas J. Humphrey, Sr., 83 years of age, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on June 6, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late James J. and Mary Alice (Reinford) Humphrey. A longtime resident of Bedford Hts., he moved to Streetsboro 10 years age. He had been employed as a shipping clerk while a member of the UAW, following which he was an assembly worker at Lucas Aerospace from where he retired. He was a member of the 1st. Congregational Church of Twinsburg, a U.S.Marine Veteran, a member of the McCallum Highlanders Bagpipe Band and was formerly active with Boy Scouts. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed photography and was very talented in acrylic and oil painting. On June 4, 1949 he married Virginia M. Humphrey who preceded him in death on June 27, 2011. Survivors include his children Thomas J. (Michal) "Mickey" Humphrey, Jr. of Shalersville, Mary (James) Mc Cauley of Fort Collins, Colorado and Alice Humphrey of Savannah, Ohio and 7 grandchildren. No calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
