Thomas L. Mitchell, 68 years of age, passed away Saturday January 9, 2021 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Born in Cleveland on April 1, 1952, he was the son of the late Charles and Marijane (Forsythe) Mitchell. A 1970 graduate of Shaker Hts. High School, he was a longtime resident of Hiram and Northern Portage County, moving to Kent in 2014. Mr. Mitchell had been employed at Graphic Packaging in Solon from where he then retired. Tom enjoyed all sports, times he spent reading, and those special memories he created with his children and grandchildren. On April 27, 1987, he married Deborah Mitchell who preceded him in death in 2011. Also preceding him was a daughter Lydia Troyer-Hawkins. Survivors include his children Edward (Sarah) Mitchell and Rachel Mitchell, both of Kent, Alescia (Michael) Harris of Arizona and Sarah (Ryan) Wagner of Windham; siblings Robert (Sheila) Mitchell of Cleveland, Judi Mitchell of Pennsylvania and Sally (Tom) Belloli of Michigan; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. No calling hours or services. Donations are suggested to the Akron-Canton Food Bank.org.
