Troy A Smith's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Troy A. Smith, 52 years of age, passed away Wednesday October 1, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 1, 1962, he was the son of Roy E. and Glayds (Payne) Smith. A resident of the Garrettsville area the past 6 years, he formerly lived in Mantua.
Troy was a graduate of East High School in Cleveland. Troy had been employed as a police officer the past 12 years at Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, where in addition he served as the company gun armorier.
He enjoyed hunting and repairing guns in his spare time. On July 14, 1990, he married Stephannie (Turley) Smith, who along with his son Troy Allen Smith, II and daughter Ashley L. Smith reside at home.
Also surviving is his mother Glayds Smith , brothers Barry Smith, David Smith and Timothy Smith all of Cleveland, and sisters Deanna Riggs of Tennessee and Colene ( Thomas) Horvat of Mantua, and many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy E. Smith, brother Herb Smith and sister Rachael Lewis. No calling hours or services at this time. Cremation has taken place. Final resting place will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township.
