Victor Nelson's Obituary
Victor Nelson, 76 years of age, passed away Sunday April 1, 2012. Born in Muddfork, West Virginia on October 13, 1935, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Weltha (Workman) Nelson.A resident of the Hiram Rapids area the past 47 years, Mr. Nelson had been employed at Preformed Line Products in Cleveland for over 20 yearas, following which he worked at Elliott Furnace Company in Novelty for several years. Mr. Nelson enjoyed playing the guitar and singing to his grandchildren, riding his lawn mower and spending the winter months in Florida with his dear wife. On February 4, 1956, he married Thelma (Mullins) Nelson who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Bennett (Debra) Nelson of Southington, Tim Nelson of Dayton, Ohio, Patricia (Robin) Cline of Mantua and Carla (Ed) Drummond of Clover, South Carolina, his brother Vondell (Dixie) Nelson of Cleveland, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Vester, Verlin, Vernon and Virgil Nelson and Mary Bingaman and Naomi Lambert. Calling hours will be Monday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral services will be held Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Murray Bay officiating. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio.
