Violet M. Miller's Obituary
Violet M. Miller (nee Townend), age 84, of Shalersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Born May 3, 1942, in Summerhill Township, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Florence (nee Catchpole) Townend.
Violet was the beloved wife of the late Richard H. Miller Sr. She was the loving mother of Tammy Depew, Richard H. (Christiane) Miller, Jr., and Mark Miller, all of Ravenna. Cherished grandmother of Amber, Devan, and Franceska. She is survived by siblings Elma Jean Rettig of Oklahoma, Ronald Townend of Iowa, and Kenneth Townend, Margaret Dillon and Melverta Turek all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by siblings Robert, Herbert, Donald, Ralph and Doris. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Violet enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, and all kinds of word games. She treasured time spent with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, OH 44255. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, OH 44255.
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
