Wanda Lou Kovar's Obituary
Wanda Lou Kovar (née Walls), age 66, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026.
Wanda was the beloved wife of Michael "Mick" Kovar. Loving mother of Amy (Sean) Surbaugh, Charity (Larry) Carnahan , Larry (Anna) Crouse, and Jeremy Crouse. Cherished grandmother of Adrian, Nick, Emma, April, Tyler, Kailey, and Christopher, and proud great-grandmother of Emily, Elena, and Lukas.
She was the dear sister of Jim (Sally) Walls, Mike (Helen) Walls, Frances Robertson, Earl Walls, Judy Hammonds, and the late Ann (Daryl) Bird. She was preceded in death by her brothers- and sisters-in-law Arthur Robertson, Nancy Walls, and Tommy Hammonds, as well as her parents, Earl and Thelma Walls.
Wanda found joy in crafting and crocheting and especially treasured time spent camping with her family. She had a generous and caring heart and was always willing to help anyone in need-offering a place to stay, lending a hand, or caring for others whenever she could. She also had a special love for animals and adored her "four-legged kids," Allie, George, Lucy, and Billy, along with her beloved chickens, all of which brought her endless joy. Her kindness, warmth, and selflessness touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in Wanda's memory to Disabled American Veterans at https://www.helpDAV.org or to Portage Animal Protective League (PO Box 927, Ravenna, Ohio 44266).
All services will be held privately.
