William H Case's Obituary
MANTUA TOWNSHIP William H. Case, 74 years of age of Mantua Township, passed away Sunday July 19, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Case was born on April 9, 1935 in Mantua, Ohio the son of the late Manning and June E. (McClintock) Case. He was a longtime Mantua area resident and a member of the Mantua Center Christian Church. A career U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Case served in both the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam Era, retiring after 23 years of military service with the rank of MMC. Following his military service, he was employed by Cleveland Pepsi Cola, retiring from that company after over 15 years of service. Mr. Case was a member of American Legion Post No. 639 in Claysville, Pennsylvania, the A.E. Association and the Naval Cruiser Association. He and Mrs. Case enjoyed square dancing, camping, traveling and was a member in good standing of the Mountaineer Club. On September 18, 1960, he married Hazel A. (Davis) Case who survives at their home. Also surviving is his son William (Terri) Case of Kent, Ohio, daughters Dorothy Sheller of Garrettsville and Julie Shriver of Claysville, Pennsylvania, sisters Myrtle Case of Hilliard, Ohio, Margie (Jerry) Cornelli of Deerfield, Ohio, Marcia Ference of Aurora, Ohio and Anita Swenson. He is survived by his grandchildren Amanda Lynn, Kristie Lee, William Eugene, David Ray, Robert William, Kimberley Ann, Andrea Mae and Megen Renee and 9 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P. M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where funeral service will be Thursday July 23, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Chad Delaney officiating. Mr. Case will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, where Military Pallbearers, Rifle Team, U.S. Flag Detail and Naval Officers Flag Presentation Detail will accord him with Full Military Honors.
