William H. Lee's Obituary
STREETSBOROWilliam H. Lee, 84 years of age, passed away Sunday May 1, 2011 at his residence. Born on October 13, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harry and Edith (Carpenter) Lee. A resident of Streetsboro since 2001, he formerly was a longtime Aurora resident and a 1946 graduate of Aurora High School. He operated the Sohio Gas Station in Geauga Lake, following which he was the owner-operator of Aurora Exxon from 1963-1983. A man who truly loved his wife and family, Mr. Lee enjoyed golfing and camping in his spare time. A member of W.K. Ricksecker Masonic Lodge No. 606 F.& A.M. in Aurora, he had served as Master three times. He also was a member of James A. Garfield Chapter No. 508 O.E.S. On June 20, 1948, he married Dorothy M. (Dunlap) Lee who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children William A. Lee of Garrettsville and Shirley J. Lee-Merkel of Mantua, his siblings Harry G. (Jackie) Lee of Twinsburg, Robert E. Lee of Hiram and Carol Garnons of Willowick, as well as his grandchildren Abbey, Erin, Katie and Kurtis and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters. No calling hours. Mr. Lee is being laid to rest at Aurora City Cemetery with a private family service. Family and friends are invited to a Masonic Funeral Service which will be held Saturday May 7, 2011 2:00 P.M. at the Aurora Masonic Temple on Pioneer Trail. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Masonic Lodge. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
