William C. Hartman's Obituary
MADISON William C. Hartman, 96 years of age of Madison, Ohio, passed away Sunday February 22, 2015 in Aurora, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 16, 1918, he was the son of the late Julius and Lucille (Dearing) Hartman. A resident of Madison the past 25 years, Mr. Hartman formerly resided in Aurora, Ohio where he was one of the Founding Members of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and had served as a City of Aurora Council Member. Mr. Hartman had been employed at the Erie Railroad in purchases and stores until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed wood crafts. On August 17, 1946, he married Jeanne A, Hartman who preceded him in death on July 4, 2014.Also preceding him in death was his twin brother Robert Hartman and his daughter-in-law Terry Hartman. Survivors include his sons Randy (Brenda) Hartman of Mantua, Ohio, Gary Hartman of Madison, Ohio, his daughters Leslie (Tom) Cofojohn of Shalersville, Ohio and Julie Hartman of Delaware, Ohio, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. No calling hours. Graveside funeral services were held at Aurora City Cemetery with Pastor Murray Bay officiating. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
