ROOTSTOWN
William A. Horvath, Jr., 81 years of age, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at UH-PMC in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 14, 1940, he was the son of the late William A. and Helen (Marmash) Horvath, Sr. A Rootstown resident the past 20 years, Bill grew up in the Hiram-Mantua areas, and graduated from Hiram High School. He was the owner-operator of Horvath Body & Glass in Shalersville, following which he was employed at Aurora Chrysler from 1988-2008 as the body shop manager. Bill enjoyed watching NASCAR, going to NASCAR and Drag racing, fishing, road trips with Vivian, and attending and supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities. Bill also truly loved his ice cream! On June 20, 1959, he married Vivian J. Horvath who preceded him in death on December 8, 2018. His son Bil Horvath, and brother Raymond Horvath also preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Tom (Dana Daniels) Horvath of California, Paul (Sandi) Horvath of Aurora, John Horvath of Rootstown, Eileen Osborn of Ravenna, and Annette (Rick) Fulton of Iowa; sister Carol Rabatin of Garrettsville; and his 4-legged child “Pepper”. A private family service is being held at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. Final resting place will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery, Kent, Ohio. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Corners Catering & Event Center, 11845 St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, from 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M.
