I still remember Betty feeding me cottage cheese noodles and cabbage noodles during Lent! And telling me that “ those things we worry about most, never happen, so don’t waste the energy!” Advice I still adhere to, to this day! You were a treasure Betty and I’m so very thankful I had the pleasure of knowing you. Your wisdom, big smile and wit will be missed.
Aunt Betty I am glad you had a long life. I remember all the Happy times In the summer that my sister and I took time trading places at your house. I have a lot of happy memories with being together camping and family dinners at grandma and grandpa‘s. I know my mom is excited to have you joining her up in heaven and hopefully you, Aunt Marge and mom won’t get into too much trouble up there. Three of the four amigos are back together again.
I met Betty in 1996 when I first became a Firefighter for the Mantua Fire Department. Throughout the years, I always enjoyed my conversations and visits with Betty. I use to shovel her walk in the winter when we were at the Old Station. After we moved to the new fire station, I continued to see her when the Police Department moved to the Old Fire Station. She always had a smile on her face and was having fun. I know that she is in a much better place and I am thankful for the conversations and the laughs that we had together.
One of my best memories, was when Betsy, Patty, Susan and myself, took you gambling for your birthday. Little did you know, we were also surprising you with an Engelbert Humperdinck Concert. We all had a great time. Over the years you started watching the Cleveland Indians. Three players you loved were:“O Me, O My, Omar”“Lofton Offend Steals”“Come Thome”We made signs, and took to the game. You then moved onto Ohio State Football, and Alabama Football. Over the past few years, you fell in love with Tom Selleck, watched Blue Bloods, and Westerns.Lots of Memories!! You had a long life mom, and I’m glad I was with you, when you passed. Love Always, Joanie
I remember when I drove you, Joanie and others of the family, from Arizona to Las Vegas for a couple of hours gambling on the slot machines. Fun trip!! Also, you and me catching a bus to see your Indians play a game under the stars. Fun evening with you Aunt Betty.Love from nephew Eddie
Aunt Betty was such a fun person. No matter how much time passed between calls or visits it was as if you were with her the day before. I don’t think I can remember a time when I saw her that she wasn’t smiling or laughing.
I remember Betty as a good friend of my mother's, they were on the same bowling team that won a championship. I have posted the picture of that team. Betty was a terrific bowler. I also remember babysitting for her children. Sincere sympathy to the family. May she rest in peace.
