Obituary
MANTUABetty M. Mishler, 94 years of age, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Juhasz) Mackel, Sr. A long time Mantua resident, she had formerly lived in Aurora, where she graduated from Aurora High School and participated as a cheerleader. Betty had been employed at Crestwood Schools where she retired following years of service as a secretary, library assistant, and in the transportation department. She enjoyed gardening, watching westerns on T.V., collecting Disney characters, and was an avid Ohio State and Alabama football fan. She was formerly a member of St. Josephs’s Catholic Church. On November 8, 1947, she married Edward Mishler who died on December 21, 1986. She was also preceded by her brother Nicholas Mackel, Jr., sisters Ann DeFluiter, Marge South, 2 children, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grand-child. Survivors include her children Scott (Lori) Mishler, Betsy (Dave) Woolf, Patty Leventry, Sue Mishler, all of Mantua and Joanie (Steve) Banashak of Port Clinton. Her sister Jean White, 9 grand -children, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grand-children also survive. No calling hours. A private family burial at Westlawn Cemetery will be held.
