Jayne Hazlett's Obituary
Jayne Hazlett, age 78, peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 7, 2025.
Jayne was the beloved sister of Leonard Hazlett and a cherished friend to many. She was also a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart and were blessed by her kindness, wisdom, and warmth.
Her life was a beautiful reflection of faith, service, and compassion. A proud 1965 graduate of Har-Brack High School, she went on to earn her nursing degree from the North Hills Passavant Hospital Nursing Program in 1966 — beginning a lifelong journey of caring for others.
Throughout her career, Jayne served in a number of meaningful roles. She worked with love and dedication at the Hattie Larlham Foundation, later with Dr. Viera Bernet’s office in Aurora, and spent over two decades providing care at Menorah Park Nursing Home. Her gentle hands and kind heart touched countless lives.
Jayne’s love for the Lord was the foundation of her life. She was deeply involved in her church, where she joyfully sang in the choir and shared her voice through the gospel team. Her faith extended far beyond her community, as she also took part in mission trips to Mozambique, Africa — sharing hope and healing wherever she went.
Jayne will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous spirit, and the love she poured into every life she touched.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, September 10, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at His Ministry, 3051 OH-82, Aurora, OH 44202. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township.
Jayne’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
