For several years I had the honor of being with Bernie during the Christmas holidays, if only for a short time. Each year the youth at Christ the King, as well as, many adults would go to Grand village to sing carols. I always felt Bernie was just waiting for us to come by for a visit. She will be missed and I have been blessed to have had her in my life. My condolences to the family. Bernie is safely home.
I will miss my visits with Bernie. Often, Bernie would talk of her family during my holy communion visits. One of her favorite passages from scripture was Psalm 23, which I read nearly every time to her. The joy that Bernie expressed when we stopped by Grande Village to sing Christmas carols was wonderful to see. Bernie is enjoying the peace that only God can provide, and I am thankful to have known her. Bernie's Christ the King family will hold your family in prayer.
