TWINSBURG
Jeanette “ Bernie “ Schultz, 98 years of age, passed away peacefully Saturday February 24, 2018 at her residence. Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 16, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Otto H. and Emma B. (Roegner) Pohl. She had lived in Bay Village, Ohio from 1959, moving to Twinsburg in 1992. Mrs. Schultz had been employed at the former Cleveland Trust Company, retiring in 1985. A member of the Lutheran Church in Twinsburg, she had previously been a member of the Historic Trinity Church in Detroit. Survivors include her daughters Barbara Schultz of Louisville, Kentucky, Katherine Schultz (Bruce Moore) of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Judith (Robert) Venturella of Columbia, South Carolina and Jeanette ( Brad ) Davis of Streetsboro, Ohio, along with 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. On December 1, 1943, she married Robert W. Schultz who preceded her in death in 1987. Her sister Dorothy Pohl, and her grandsons Anson and Zachary Davis also preceded her in death. The family is grateful for the wonderful and compassionate care Bernie received for the last 23 years at Sprenger Grande Village Community in Twinsburg, Ohio and especially for the staff in the Memory Support Hall. We are also grateful for the compassion and support received from the Sprenger Hospice Care staff these past few months. There will be no calling hours. Final resting place will be in the Columbarium at the Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in Detroit, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the National Adrenal Diseases Foundation. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, Ohio where condolences and memories may be shared at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
