Josephine “Jo” Gobble, Age 77, of Streetsboro, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 while surrounded by her immediate family.
Jo was born to Adolph and Mary (Hospodarsky) Gluckle on July 29, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Cleveland, Ohio in 1964.
Jo is greatly missed by her loving children, Thomas (Carmen) Gobble, Tracy (Brian) Knauer, Timothy (Leslie) Gobble; grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) Burrowbridge, Aaron (Dana) Gobble, Jayson Gobble, Joseph Gobble, Chloe Gobble, Romeo Gobble, Christelle Estinopo, and Cyhrel Quezada; great-grandchildren, Killian Gobble, Yuri and Yuki Hanamura; many nieces and nephews and all the people whose lives she touched.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Adolph, and her beloved sister Theresa (Calvin) Curnutte. She is survived by siblings MaryAnn (Philip dc.) Ondrejka, Eleanore (Thomas dc.) Jordan, Dorthy (Elving) Ortero, Rose Mary (Thomas) Forster, Edward (Sandra) Gluckle, James (Mary dc.) Gluckle, and Michael Gluckle.
Jo was a devout patriot, a huge supporter of Donald Trump (you would often hear her say, “I love that man”) and never afraid to let her opinion be known with politicians at the local, state and national level. She was a great supporter of the U.S. Military with both of her sons having served and two grandsons serving in the military. Jo dedicated herself to raising her children and upon returning to the workforce took great pride in her job, working for Fuji Film formerly Hitachi Medical System for 27 years.
Visitation will be at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, (at the corner of St. Rt. 44), Mantua on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 4-7 PM; in honor of her patriotism the family requests that visitors please wear red, white and blue. Family services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 1 PM followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, she would have greatly appreciated a contribution to Trump’s campaign or donations to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, t2t.org, which provides support for disabled front line service members.
