Kathleen S. "Kathy" Scott, age 60, of Mantua Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, after a courageous battle with Leiomyosarcoma. Born on October 30, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, Kathy was the daughter of the late Francis G. and Laverne C. (Daily) Friedel.
Kathy's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her career. She was the beloved wife of Lynn A. Scott for 34 years. As a loving mother to Andrew (Lauren) Scott, she instilled in her son the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family. Her role as a cherished grandmother to Maxwell Scott was one she embraced with all her heart, showering him with affection and love.
In her professional life, Kathy's commitment was equally evident. She served for over 20 years at Physicians Ambulance, where she began her career as a Certified Paramedic, a role in which she provided comfort to many in their times of need. Kathy's passion for helping others was evident, and she eventually retired as the Director of Patient Accounting, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and compassion.
Kathy was a dear sister to Frank Friedel (Amy) and Anne Brentar; aunt to Celeste, Bonnie, Laura, and Valerie, and great aunt to Bailee, MacKenzie, A.J., and Merrilee Dawson.
Outside of her professional and family life, Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Spending time with her family was her greatest interest and the source of her deepest happiness. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a family gathering, Kathy's presence was a source of comfort and compassion.
Kathy's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will forever be cherished by those who loved her.
As we say goodbye to Kathleen S. Scott, we celebrate a life of purpose, love, and an enduring spirit that will never be forgotten. Kathy's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10 am - 12 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 12 pm.
