To paraphrase the famous Irish quote: If You Are Lucky Enough to Have Known Phyllis, You Are Lucky Enough!
How do we live without her? She meant so much to so many! Visits with her meant lots of fun, laughter, meaningful conversations and her always delicious, cooked-with-love food. She enjoyed nourishing people’s souls and their bodies, no appointment needed! After my Dad passed, many stepped up to help take care of her, but in reality, Phyllis ALWAYS took care of all of us. Her strength and her faith got her (and us) through all the difficult times.
Kim, Lisa, Scott, Fran - thanks for sharing her! She loved us, but she adored her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and siblings the most! She was extremely proud of you and loved to share stories and news about you all. I especially enjoyed hearing the latest funny or amazing thing Dillon said or did!
For a woman who brought such comfort and care her entire life, it was hard to witness the pain and suffering she endured these last six months. She had so many ups and downs and tried very hard to get back home again, but in the end her body just gave out. Her strong faith allowed her to accept that home was now going to be heaven. She was a witness for God and His love for us all. I was recently reminded that our loved ones may be “gone” (body wise), but to remember that their spirit, their true being, remains with God. It also remains with us - in our memories. We do know that Phyllis is in heaven now and awaits our reunion someday. That brings me comfort and hope. Thank you for all of your love Phyllis, I'm forever grateful to you!
Love Always,
Susan
