Steve J. Sevc Jr.'s Obituary
Steve J. Sevc Jr., loving husband and partner to Mary Oehlberg-Sevc for 47 years, died suddenly on December 30th 2025. Steve was born June 7th, 1954 to Steve and RoseMary Sevc (nee Mahoney) and was raised in the Cleveland area. Steve, also known as "Junkyard Steve" worked in the auto parts recycling industry for his entire career, retiring in 2016. Steve lived his life his way, had strong convictions, and of course was always "right", but he loved fiercely, was loyal, faithful, and would give his life for those he loved. A truer son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend would be hard to find.
Steve will be dearly missed by wife Mary, brother Daniel Sevc, brother Gary Sevc & wife Tricia, sisters Maryellen Griffin and Sharon Ketchum. Also mourning this sudden loss are in-laws Barbara Oehlberg, Kurt Oehlberg & wife Pam, Christine Oehlberg & partner Carmen, Sarah Webb, Eric Oehlberg and Paul Oehlberg. Steve will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, Nick, Meghan & Anthony, Lydia, Logan, Brian & Katy, Danny & Jessica, Michelle, Mallory, Anneliese, Alekzander & Rowan, Dane, Nathan & Kyra, Natalie & Dylan, Miles, and other family and friends. Steve's beloved kitties Bitt, Abbie and Socks are waiting at the door.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Steve and RoseMary, brother Tom and in-laws Richard Oehlberg, Mark Oehlberg and Rusty Griffin.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 3 - 8 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m. I
